This week we have been exploring our school and the new building. The children had to follow the map and think about which way they needed to turn when they got to different points. We noticed the places we passed along the way and used the pictures of them to help us. We looked at the positional language inside, next to and in front.
Today we enjoyed a visit from Zoolab. We looked at the different minibeasts that Denise brought in and learnt that minibeasts have no bones. We were all so brave and careful when we strolled or held them. What an exciting morning.
This week we have been exploring patterns in maths. We looked at different ways to show patterns and found you could use shapes or colours. Some children then explored this further in the maths area and created their own patterns.
this week the children have been to Eureka. We enjoyed learning about our bodies and the world in which we live in. The children have been telling me what they enjoyed and it seems the big teeth and nose have been a hit. We then wrote about our favourite parts of the mesueum.
