This week we will be looking at halving. The children will half quantities by sharing them into two equal groups. Remind the children of fair and unfair sharing to emphasis the idea of half being one of 2 equal parts We will add an activity every day that will support this.

This week we will be looking at doubling. Try and give your child as much opportunities as possible to build doubles with real objects. Encourage children to say doubles as they build them and provide examples of doubles and non-doubles for children to discuss. We will add an activity every day that will support this. Happy doubling
